Guilty as charged

Guilty as charged

As we all know, I am an avid scourer of internet sales. I had originally spotted these fun earrings on Gilt’s website a few weeks ago. I went all the way to checkout, until I realized it was going to cost me over 20 dollars just so ship them. Suddenly, the reasonably priced earrings, didn’t seem so reasonable. I got over them, moved on, and thought I would never see them again, until I got an email from Gilt about free shipping. Heart fluttering, I went back to see if the earrings were still available, and low and behold, I am now the proud owner of these babies. I guess the moral of the story, is good things come to those who wait 😉

I was lusting over these Erika Ray-Bans for some time now, and I finally decided to purchase them. I bought them online, which was a little nerve wracking because you cannot try them on. Lucky for me though, they fit perfectly. I love the shape and size, not too big not too small. Im really happy I went with the brown over the black, I think it suits my complexion better. Plus, they were only 130 dollars, not too bad for Ray-Bans. They are very light, and although the frames are a little darker than I would like, I am still in love!

I am kind of addicted to making bracelets. I was fiddling around with some left over string, and I came across this idea for a bracelet. Super simple, and really pretty (at least I think so ;)) I have never created anything from scratch before, so I was pretty proud of myself for thinking of this. I need to go buy some more string so I can diversify my color palette. I would love some dark blue and purple to add to the collection. With all the rainy days we have been having in Toronto, this has been the perfect cure for the bad weather blues!

Chambray and lace

I kind of jumped on the jean trend a little late, but rather late than never! I got this shirt super on sale, so even if the fad fizzles out soon, I will still have gotten my moneys worth. One of my go to styles is combining masculine and feminine. I love the look of lace with something contrasting; a drastically different material, color, or print is my favourite way to spice it up. Im trying to make my outfits simple and chic. Maybe I can revolutionize some of my existing wardrobe to make this happen!

Shine on me

All that glitters

My mom and I made a date today to go visit a jewelery outlet in my neighborhood. I was very successful! I picked up some new beads, some embroidery floss, rhinestones and chain. I immediately set to work on a necklace I had spotted a few months ago on Honestly WTF. I won’t lie, it wasn’t a walk in the park. It took me a good chunk of the day to complete the project, but I am so proud of the result. I am not normally a crafty person. I suck at reading directions, and I rush through projects. I have to say though, I really did my best with this one, and I couldn’t be happier. I was left over with some extra rhinestones, so I did a quick bracelet to add to my collection. I always post my creations to Instagram, so feel free to follow me on there as well! image

Inspired by the throne

Inspired by the throne

Unique pieces of jewelery always have a home with me. I love eclectic pieces. They are always a conversation starter, and they make you stand out. I just found this stag on ASOS, and I knew instantly that it would be joining my collection. I thought, very game of thrones inspired.

I also picked up this gold watch. The watch was 35 dollars, a steal in my opinion. I only have one nice watch, and I don’t like to wear it to work. Having a cheap watch like this means I don’t have to worry about scratches, and I can still rock some cute jewelery. I love ASOS; seriously, adore. I am always checking it out for good finds, and I think these two fit the bill!
